Do I have to reactivate or regenerate X-System garments?
No. X-System garments do not use activated carbon, which attempts to filter odor molecules after they form. Rather, X-System depletes the bacteria that causes odor before it even has a chance to form. We believe this approach is more effective.
How often can I wash my X-System garments?
Wash X-System garments in a mild, scent-free detergent as much as you want. The silver-infused fibers in each X-System garment are permanent; they cannot and will not wash out.
We suggest that you line-dry all hunting clothes instead of using a dryer. A dryer may contaminate the fabric with fragrances left behind by fabric softeners and dryer sheets.
Activated-Carbon clothing is too hot to wear during the early season. Is X-System cool enough to wear during warm conditions?
This is just one of many areas where X-System is superior. Cotton, polyester or nylon X-System garments are actually cooler to wear than activated-carbon garments made of the same materials.
How effective is X-System if I sweat while wearing the garments?
Sweat ultimately leads to body odor, which is one of the biggest problems early season hunters face. Though you will sweat less while wearing X-System garments, the odor-eliminating technology will combat any sweat your body does produce, and the more you sweat, the harder X-System works to keep you odor-free.
How long will my X-System clothing eliminate body odor?
X-System silver-infused fibers will lasts as long as the physical structure of the garment. Washing your X-System garments with a mild, scent-free detergent on a gentle cycle and allowing them to line-dry will prolong the life of the garment.
How should I store my X-System garments?
We suggest storing all hunting garments in a plastic bag, sealed off from outside elements, year-round. This helps keep the fabric from absorbing unwanted odors until the next washing.
Should I use a cover scent on my X-System garments?
There’s no need to use a cover scent, because there’s nothing to cover. However, if you happen to expose your clothing and contaminate it with an odor before you get to your hunting destination, the use of a cover scent and/or a scent eliminator spray may be your best option. We suggest using Code Blue.
Can I have my X-System garments altered for a better fit?
Yes, but doing so will void the garments’ warranty.
Should I wear gloves, socks and head covers to control human odor?
Yes. These clothing items are just as important as the rest of your X-System outfit, since human odor is produced by all parts of the body.
Will I have trouble finding my bow’s kisser button while wearing the X-System Head Cover?
Probably not. The X-System Head Cover is made from a thin polyester fabric, so you should be able to find your kisser button without any problems. We suggest that you practice a few times while wearing your full hunting outfit before the season starts, so you will be prepared for your first hunt.
How do I effectively control foot odor?
Wear X-System Socks to control foot odor.
What should I do if I get winded by game while wearing X-System?
Are you covered head-to-toe with X-System? Exposed areas may be your problem. If you are wearing all X-System gear, try to remember if you may have accidentally exposed your clothes to an odor source, such as smoke, food and gasoline vapors. If that’s not the case, it’s possible you could have a rare condition that causes your body to expel odorous vapors via your skin pours. If this is the case, your only option is to become an expert at playing the wind.
What happens if it rains when I’m wearing X-System garments?
X-System’s odor elimination properties work in any weather condition.
Is X-System the cure-all for scent control?
Unfortunately, there isn’t a scent-control system out there proved to work 100 percent of the time. However, consumers tell us that X-System is an effective way to proactively control body odor.
The X-System scent-elimination system attempts to control scent from one source: the body. If the outer shell of your clothing happens to get contaminated with an odor from an outside source – such as gasoline vapors, food smells or smoke – your only option is to use an eliminator spray and/or a cover-up.
